Seeking Senior Buyer to take next step in Career as Category Manager for UK Leading Services Firm - Berskhire - £45,000-£55,000

This UK Leading Services Firm are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to take the next step in their career as a Category Manager!

This multi-billion pound firm, are looking for an ambitious procurement professional to fast track their career, and take that next step as Category Manager! Whether your experience is within direct or indirect spend, if you have experience managing end-to-end processes within a category, you will have the opportunity to develop your skillset, working across a range of categories within the business.

Working alongside a established procurement team, you will not only be mentored by procurement professionals at the top of their field, but you will also have the opportunity to work closely with key, established stakeholders. Managing a multi-million pound spend, you will grow not only your skillset, but your portfolio too.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of suppliers to enhance contract performance and deliver additional value.
  • Leading the development and management of comprehensive category plans, targeting value maximisation while balancing commercial risk.
  • Providing category knowledge and market insights to internal stakeholders, delivering category plans, managing sourcing events, and identifying risks.

Key Requirements:

  • Possess/develop in-depth knowledge of the supply market, including suppliers, market trends, innovations, and changes, to identify valuable new suppliers.
  • Have a solid understanding of Category Management principles with a proven track record of delivering results across various categories.
  • Provide insights into supply market dynamics, regulatory and internal frameworks, suppliers, and technical innovations, and able to identify market insights, trends, opportunities, and risks effectively.

You will gain unparalleled exposure to different categories. So whether you are simply looking to progress as a procurement professional, or whether you are looking to get into managing categories outside of your current skillset, you will be offered the training and development to succeed.

Working from the Berkshire office 2-3 days per week, you have the flexibility to work around your home life. You will take home a competitive salary of £45,000-£55,000 depending on relevant experience.
