Commercial Business Analyst
1 year fixed term contract
Full time (37 hours a week)
Salary - £36,562 to £38,459 (Inclusive of London Fringe Weighting)
Based in Hemel Hempstead at The Forum (Hybrid working considered)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Business Analyst to support the Commercial Development Service to undertake a detailed programme of commercial activities as part of its Commercial Strategy.
This role will be for an initial 12-month period, with an option to extend for up to a further 12-months should the role help to deliver commercial benefits to the Council.
You will be expected to demonstrate previous experience of working in a commercial environment within a local government context, supporting the delivery of commercial activities across the organisation.
You will have the knowledge and ability to analyse and report data from a variety of systems, including financial reports, and be able to identify and extract key data for specific commercial analysis.
You will be heavily involved on a day-to-day basis conducting benchmarking/market research/external reviews and presenting data and service information.
You must have the ability to explore options for new delivery models as appropriate and help to shape and prioritise the use of resources to meet changing customer needs and demands.
You will help to develop a commercial culture across the organisation, by imparting your commercial knowledge when working with colleagues across the organisation, to support ongoing commercial opportunities.
The ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with colleagues and stakeholders is required as well as tact, diplomacy and the ability to negotiate. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to achieve defined performance targets.
