Award Winning Procurement Function - Infrastructure Firm - Category Manager (Indirects) - Leeds X 2 days pw - Change & Transformation Project

My client ensures that over 5.4 million residents and numerous visitors have reliable access to clean and safe drinking water, along with efficient wastewater management. However, their work encompasses much more.

The company is dedicated to supporting communities, protecting the environment, and ensuring sustainable water management for Yorkshire, every day of the year. Their services are vital to the region's health, well-being, and economic prosperity.

With new environmental regulations, significant investments, and evolving customer expectations, the water industry is undergoing a period of transformation and opportunity.

They have a brand new position for a seasoned Category Manager to join the award-winning team on a change and transformation project. You will take ownership over a range of indirect categories developing and implementing strategies

As a Category Manager you will be responsible for:

Strategic Sourcing: Developing procurement strategies and negotiating contracts.

Supplier Management: Maintaining supplier relationships and monitoring performance.

Cost Management: Identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities.

Risk Management: Mitigating supply chain risks and ensuring ESG compliance.

Collaboration: Aligning procurement with business needs and communicating with stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement: Staying updated on industry trends and enhancing processes.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring procurement activities follow laws and regulations.
