This FTSE 100 FMCG powerhouse is on an exciting growth trajectory. With a bold 3-year plan to invest over £2 billion in their cutting-edge technology division, they are revolutionizing their procurement function to defend and elevate their best-in-class status.
Celebrated for their unparalleled commercial expertise, this industry leader boasts an impressive array of accolades, including the prestigious 'World Procurement Team Award.' They are now on the lookout for dynamic category buyers to join their rapidly expanding technology team and spearhead a series of high-value, end-to-end procurement projects. This is a brilliant opportunity for ambitious professionals, with ample room for internal progression-with previous hires having swiftly moved into senior buying or category manager roles within just 2-3 years.
Your role as an IT/Technology Category Buyer will be to:
- Craft innovative procurement strategies based on evolving market analytics to secure significant cost savings.
- Execute a range of traditional procurement activities, including but not limited to strategic sourcing, tendering, negotiating, contracting, and managing supplier relationships.
Education and development are central to my client's growth strategy, so prior experience in the Technology and IT categories is not necessary for these roles. However, candidates should:
- Possess robust end-to-end procurement experience, encompassing strategic sourcing, tendering, contracting, negotiating, and supplier relationship management.
- Ideally hold a degree, preferably in a relevant field, though this is not essential. A CIPS qualification is advantageous but not required.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a world-renowned firm leading the charge in revolutionizing the procurement industry through technology.
