My client is a globally renowned, £Multi-Billion firm who seek an highly credible and experienced Interim Procurement Analyst to join their world class procurement function. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking procurement analysis to support a crucial business wide logistics project which is entering phase 2 after successful rollout of phase 1. Due to increases in the scale and complexity of the project, additional hires are required to aid the collaboration and completion of the project in 12 - 18 months. The project spans multiple dynamic business areas and will add an enormous value to the business across Road Transport & Inbound Logistics. An important piece of this exciting project will be to drive the centralisation of logistics procurement across several regions with the goal of maximising commercial benefit and reducing the firm's appetite for future risk and supply chain issues, the analyst will play a vital role in helping senior leaders to make informed and commercially effective procurement decisions.
The firm are offering circa £500 - £800 per day and are looking to hire an interim on an initial 6-month contract with the view to extend the contract to c.18 months. This will time period will see out the logistics project and has the opportunity to become permanent after both supplier & stakeholder relationships are established and the successful candidate's capability is judged.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis across various business unit to inform logistics procurement strategies.
- Understand, interpret and present data to allow the senior leaders to make informed strategic procurement decisions.
- Manage the analysis of hundreds of millions worth of spend, across logistics and road transport on behalf of one of a well establish global player.
- Assess both cost and efficiencies to drive improvements across inbound logistics relating to large volumes of raw materials, commodities and packaging etc.
- Analyse international and domestic logistics as they move towards a centralised model.
- Effectively manage and develop supplier relationships across UK and EMEA. Evaluate existing and prospective suppliers for the logistics category.
- Project management over a circa 18 month period, managing analysis of 1000s of flows and suppliers.
- Assess, forecast and develop strategic plans to ensure future supply chain management is effective and maximises both risk and cost avoidance.
Experience Required:
- CIPS or MCIPS qualified.
- Degree or equivalent qualification - engineering, finance, computer science, data science MBA's prefered.
- Strong background as a Procurement Analyst.
- Manufacturing, FMCG, Logistics experience preferable.
- Experience analysing large portfolio of spend across multiple business units to improve operational efficiencies and to reduce risk and achieve cost savings.
- Strong stakeholder management and SRM experience, strong influencing, presentation and communication skills. Ability to present to senior leaders, pre empt questions and inform decisions.
- Analytical proficiency with a solid understanding of commercial/contract risk.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable with complex problem-solving.
