Global investment banking firm - Procurement Lead (ESG and Corporate Planning) - Birmingham(Hybrid) - £55-70k + Package
This World Leader in investment banking is looking for an ambitious procurement professional with experience across ESG and Corporate Planning categories to join their first-class procurement function, renowned for their strategic procurement model and commercial management capabilities.
This organisation are at forefront of their industry, leading the way across investment and asset management in Global markets. The corporate planning & Management division unifies Finance Planning, Spend Management, Expense Management, Third Party Risk, and Governance strategies across the firm. This is a fantastic opportunity to represent an international name and employ your capabilities within indirect procurement to work on world-class projects.
The Successful Candidate will collaborate with various functions across the firm, requiring independent work and interaction with Senior professionals. Responsibilities include:
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders on vendor diversity and sustainability goals.
- Supporting vendor diversity initiatives, managing relationships, tracking spend, and representing the firm at relevant conferences.
- Assisting in environmental and human rights risk management within the supply chain.
- Implementing sustainability projects to achieve net-zero goals.
- Managing sustainability data, benchmarking, performance metrics, and reporting progress.
- It also entails in-depth analysis and reporting for senior management, requiring diligence and a commercial mindset. The candidate is required to work closely with global counterparts. Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Passion for sustainability and diversity, with relevant academic or professional experience in ESG matters.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Initiative in learning about vendor diversity and sustainability.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
- Strong work ethic and results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
