Opportunity

We are looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join our Ground Support Equipment manufacturing site in Trelleborg, Sweden. This position is a dynamic role, providing a breadth of experience in a fast-paced environment. As the Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible for the procurement and planning of material requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with releasing production orders according to our master planning schedule;
  • Maintaining and updating relevant ERP-data for purchasing & planning;
  • To work closely with Engineering to achieve the introduction of engineering improvements and new product introduction;
  • Analysing actual and potential supply problems or delivery issues;
  • Conducting supplier performance reviews;
  • Analysing raw material demand for purchase and on-time delivery in a MRP environment, ensuring continuity of production;
  • Issuing purchase orders to suppliers and following up order acknowledgement;
  • Optimising inventory and stock levels of purchased components;
  • Working with continuous improvement of the planning and purchasing process.

Education/Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • You should hold a degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Business or related field;
  • Experience of working with ERP systems is required - SAP is preferred;
  • A minimum of two years' experience within a supply chain related role;
  • Prior experience within manufacturing and industrial environments;
  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English - both written and verbal;
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
