About the roleWe are seeking an experienced and highly organised indirect IT Category Manager to join our team. As an IT Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in streamlining our IT procurement process, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and strategic sourcing. You will collaborate with various departments to understand various IT requirements, evaluate supplier options, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Projects might include but is not limited to; Order Management System / Legal Management System & Contract Management tools / Source to Contract systems (including spend analysis, rebates, RFx tools, SRM, savings management, project management).

As an IT Procurement Manager you will
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet IT requirements while considering cost, quality, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to understand their IT procurement needs and develop procurement plans accordingly.
- Evaluate and select external vendors and suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability factors. Negotiate and finalise contracts and service level agreements.
- Develop a category plan for all things IT and SaaS.
- Continuously monitor market trends and technological advancements to identify new vendors, innovation and opportunities for process improvements.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews, assessing adherence to contractual agreements and addressing any concerns.
- Implement sustainable procurement practices, considering environmental and social impact factors, and promote ethical sourcing.
- Work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Stay updated on relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to IT procurement.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. A relevant certification would be an asset.
- Proven experience in IT procurement or a similar role, with a strong understanding of IT hardware, software, and services.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and strategies.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for details.
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools to streamline processes and generate reports.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with ethical sourcing and sustainable procurement practices is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience of any procurement sourcing tool is a plus.
- Experience and knowledge of implementation of retail business systems is highly desirable
