We are currently recruiting for an experienced Procurement Specialist who is looking for an exciting career in an innovative work environment.
Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all procurement activities within Vestas, including leading cross functional category teams, negotiations and contract management, development of end-2-end cost out initiatives, category strategy development and supplier relationship management.
Manufacturing and Global Procurement > COO APAC > Direct Material Towers APAC NEA
This position will be part of the Direct Material team under APAC Global Procurement.
Manufacturing and Global Procurement > COO APAC > Direct Material Towers APAC NEA
Responsibilities
• Identify potential suppliers across different commodities from Japan aligning with Vestas' expectations for Direct Materials.
• Support in developing and implementing strategies for commodities, ensuring strategic focus, best-in-class supplier performance, technology innovation screening, ensuring competitive advantages based on Global and Regional input from management
• Work with Regional Procurement Program Management and Project Team closely to understand the Local content requirements and translate into Procurement initiatives
• Contract / Purchase agreement execution
• Working as Supplier Account Lead for local Japanese suppliers, owning the relationships with the suppliers.
• Support in to collect Request for Information RFI / Capability assessment and recommendations
• Expected to travel within the country to visit the suppliers
• Engage and negotiate with suppliers and update group costs for the identified components
• Support business case inputs by providing appropriate cost information
• Provide key inputs to Purchasing managers for Module Ownership Meetings for NPIs
• Represent Vestas as Sourcing point of contact in Domestic Suppliers' forums
Qualifications
• The right candidate has a degree in either Supply Chain Management, Sales/Marketing, Engineering, or alike.
• Solid work experience within Strategic Purchasing, experience with strategic procurement or related supply chain activities
• Experience within commodity management, including commodity strategy development
• Comprehensive communication skills including fluency in English (both orally and in writing)
• Advanced IT skills (proficient with Microsoft Office Package, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
• Proven record of solid stakeholder management skills and communication
