Job Details
Woldmarsh Producers is a not-for-profit farming cooperative with an ambition to grow into a £185 million business within the next 5 years. The Procurement Manager role will be integral in realising this growth strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Procurement Manager will spearhead transforming Woldmarsh's strategic sourcing capabilities to drive maximum value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Centralise and professionalise procurement across all product categories, driving consistency, best practice, and negotiation leverage.
- Leverage Woldmarsh's combined purchasing power to secure optimal pricing, terms, and agreements more competitive than individual members can obtain.
- Develop coordinated sourcing strategies that maximise value from multi-line suppliers through strategic engagement and contracts.
- Foster collaborative supplier relationships that strengthen Woldmarsh's value proposition to members.
- Establish procurement metrics tied to cost savings, supplier performance, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Sector Heads to assist (where appropriate) in negotiations with suppliers and develop strategies to deliver the best possible prices and rebates to members.
- Lead cross-functional sourcing efforts and provide training to upskill teams in negotiations and supplier management.
- Support the CEO in achieving Woldmarsh's ambitious £185m revenue goal through procurement excellence.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Procurement Manager, with expertise operating across diverse categories.
- Exceptional negotiation abilities to structure and execute complex, multi-factor supplier agreements.
- Strategic mindset to develop overarching sourcing strategies that drive maximum value creation.
- Skilled in implementing procurement systems, policies, and performance management frameworks.
- Adept at change management and influencing cross-functional collaboration.
- Qualified to MCIPS level would be preferred but CIPS Level 4 upwards will be considered.
