Accountabilities:

The Procurement department is responsible for strategic and operational purchasing of materials and services for numerous entities. Its main objectives are to:
  • Understand and analyse the needs and requirements of the business
  • Develop and implement category strategies
  • Manage the supply and purchase of materials and services for corporate functions
  • Create value through category and supplier management across the Group, ensuring that overheads and administrative costs are reduced.
  • Leading and facilitating procurement projects to identify opportunities for cost reduction and optimisation
  • Contribute to the development of an appropriate purchasing strategy using best practice methodologies
  • Work with stakeholders to develop specifications, obtain quotations, analyse tenders and make recommendations based on business cases
  • Support the procurement management team and work with suppliers to ensure costs and risks are minimised and sound commercial agreements are established
  • Lead, coordinate and take responsibility for all day-to-day operational procurement activities, including liaison with end-users and other internal stakeholders as appropriate
  • Resolve end-user and supplier day-to-day operational issues, including invoicing and payment issues, in collaboration with finance and/or budget managers, when requested by the team
  • Oversee the timely delivery of orders, in collaboration with internal stakeholders
Required Skills/ Knowledge:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in end-to-end strategic procurement
  • Solid experience in the conduct of purchasing, including management, and ideally experience of interfacing with high-level stakeholders within multiple organisations
  • Strong technical knowledge of purchasing systems (P2P); SAP and Bravo Solution would be a plus
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and team collaboration skills
  • Excellent command of procurement processes within diverse organisations
  • Good general knowledge of purchasing principles and practices
  • Knowledge of commercial law and legal concepts with the support of the Legal Department
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, high motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to build effective relationships by collaborating at all levels in a spirit of openness, honesty and respect
  • Commitment and seriousness in achieving objectives
  • Openness and willingness to work with different corporate cultures
  • Strong influencing, networking and teamwork skills
  • Perseverance, patience and commitment to contribute to the long-term success of the business
  • Good organisational and time management skills

Education/Qualifications :
  • With 5 years' higher education, you are a graduate of a business school or university.
Languages:
  • English - Full professional proficiency is mandatory
  • German - Full professional proficiency is mandatory
