Vendor Consolidation Analyst - ESG/Sustainability - Global Asset Management Firm - Birmingham Office - £50-60k + Package
This leading global investment banking, securities, an investment management firm, provides a wide range of financial services to a substantial and diversified client bas that includes corporations, financial institutions, governments, and individuals. Founded in 1869, they have rapidly expanded across all major financial centers globally.
My client is seeking a highly ambitious, driven, and detail orientated Analyst to join their dynamic and collaborative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the team to find and vet small and diverse vendors, manage relationships with advocacy bodies, track and report associated spend, deliver training and strategic initiatives, and represent the firm. You will have a passion for ESG and Sustainability with a track record of this throughout your career to date. You will have previous experience in an analyst position to assist in the deployment of sustainability projects including data collection, analysis, and implementation of strategies to reduce emissions across operations and supply chain.

Responsibilities:
- Analyse and evaluate current vendor relationships and contracts to identify consolidation opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies for vendor consolidation to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and business units to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
- Conduct market research to identify potential new vendors and assess their suitability.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure the best terms and value for the business.
- Monitor vendor performance and manage relationships to ensure compliance with service level agreements.
- Provide regular reports and analysis on vendor consolidation efforts and outcomes.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in vendor management and procurement.
Qualifications needed:
- Degree or equivalent
- Years of experience in vendor management, procurement, sustainability, consultancy or analyst type positions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiations skills
