Sustainability Analyst - Global Asset Management Firm - Birmingham Office - £50-60k + Package

The Opportunity

Our client seeks a highly ambitious, driven, and detail-oriented Sustainability Analyst to join their dynamic and collaborative team. In this role, you will support the team by identifying and vetting small and diverse vendors, managing relationships with advocacy bodies, tracking and reporting associated spending, delivering training, and spearheading strategic initiatives. Your passion for ESG and Sustainability should be evident in your career history, along with experience in an analyst position focusing on sustainability projects. Responsibilities include data collection, analysis, and the implementation of strategies to reduce emissions across operations and the supply chain.



What You'll Do

  • Analyze and evaluate current vendor relationships and contracts to identify consolidation opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies for vendor consolidation to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with procurement, finance, and business units to align with overall business goals.
  • Conduct market research to identify and assess potential new vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure the best terms and value.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis on vendor consolidation efforts and outcomes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in vendor management and procurement.


What We're Looking For

  • A degree or equivalent experience.
  • Several years of experience in vendor management, procurement, sustainability, consultancy, or similar analyst roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
