Are you an experienced Category Manager looking to take the next step in your career? If the answer is yes - then look no further as Church & Dwight UK Ltd have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Category Manager. This is a permanent position based at our London Euston office with hybrid working available.

As a Category Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and maximizing sales within our product categories. You will be responsible for all aspects of Category Development including promotional reviews and analysis & shopper insights within our UK customer base for the respective category. You will also oversee the development of channel and retailer plans across brands and retailers.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Identify and develop category/shopper data insights and drivers1
  • Formulate customer strategies/tactics & supporting trade plans with the sales team.
  • Ensure alignment of customer plans with brand/category/retailer strategies in collaboration with sales & marketing teams.
  • Oversee the management of the IRI database on a day-to-day basis.
  • Conduct continuous/ad hoc analysis using IRI sources.
  • Build customer presentations & proposals for range reviews including product, merchandising/space recommendations and supporting rationale.
  • Formulate and execute category management plans for UK retailers.
  • Ensure best in class execution & review in conjunction with the Shopper Marketing Manager.
The ideal candidate should be educated to degree level and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Category Management. You should be able to demonstrate that you are highly numerate and analytical, comfortable working with data of high granularity, and have solid experience using IRI and Kantar data, an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills and a good team player who is able to work cross-functionally. A very good working knowledge of Microsoft office are essential. Additionally, you should have good knowledge and experience in developing Category Management and Shopper Insight, with the ability to turn insights into creative solutions at retail. Knowledge of the UK retail landscape and significant experience working with UK major multiples & High Street Retailers (Boots & Superdrug) is also important.
