IT Procurement Specialist Needed for Essential Central Government Project
Bristol 2 days per week
£55,000-£65,000 + package
This UK leading firm provides an exciting opportunity for an IT procurement specialist to become an essential part of a key project working alongside an established central government department.

You will work closely with established stakeholders across central government and have the opportunity to grow your network. This is your chance to either step into the public sector or leverage your existing knowledge and experience to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with IT suppliers, ensuring compliance with government regulations and achieving the best value for money.
- Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate and administer contracts for software, hardware, and IT services, ensuring alignment with public sector objectives and budgets.
- Strategic Sourcing: Conduct market research and analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and innovative solutions, supporting the technological needs and strategic initiatives of the central government.
- Compliance and Regulation: Ensure all procurement activities comply with government policies and procedures, maintaining transparency and accountability.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in IT procurement, ideally within the public sector.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of government procurement regulations and best practices is preferred, but not necessary.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
