Do you have experience with procurement and vendor management? Do you get motivated by working in an environment where you challenge the status quo and constantly strive to generate value? Then we are looking for you to join our Group Procurement team in Copenhagen.

As our new Category Manager, you will be linked to a business division. You will be responsible for covering multiple categories globally and it will be your responsibility to work closely with the business in all procurement and contractual negotiation activities all supporting our overall strategic ambitions.

Group Procurement is a part Group Finance and Legal. The team consists of members located in Headquarter, Hellerup, Denmark and in the Middle European office in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Group Procurement acts as a partner to the business and support the business by always making sure that Saxo:
  • Work with suppliers and partners who meet our demands on quality, price, service, and efficiency and who live up to our supplier code of conduct and sustainability principles.
  • Ensure effective management of our vendors to ensure mutually successful relationships between Saxo and our suppliers.
  • Focus on enabling our business to meet future demands of our customers and partners so we can deliver the right client experience.

Responsibilities

Working together with our team you will support the business, in all from handling day-to-day queries, to selecting, negotiating, and maintaining all vendor contracts. You will develop strong relationships internally as well as externally, take ownership, use common sense and in the end create win-win solutions to the benefit of Saxo.

As a person you understand the importance of being visible and always go the extra mile to support the business. You are passionate about your work and enjoy working in an international environment interacting with colleagues on all levels around the world. You have a natural understanding of the importance of stakeholder management both internally and externally and for you it is easy to both assist and challenge internal and external stakeholders to achieve win-win solutions beneficial for all parties. Further you have an analytical approach to your work and always try to optimize the processes and procedures.

Your responsibilities will among others be:
  • Support business in the Tender process and in selecting, negotiating, and maintaining all vendor contracts
  • Optimize and focus on savings within your own business area.
  • Support the business in vendor management.
  • Ensure compliance with Saxo policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the business in claims and complaints towards the vendors.
  • Participate in the overall strategic procurement development journey.
  • Take action to reduce tail spending and reduce the number of smaller suppliers.
Your profile

To achieve your goals in this role you must have some experience in procurement/sourcing, preferably within IT category management. You are a strong and skilled communicator and negotiator who understands commercial, legal and compliance requirements.
  • Educational background from procurement, supply chain or similar.
  • Relevant work experience within category management or sourcing
  • Experience with tender processes. Handling and negotiating IT contracts is an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Fully proficient in Danish and English - both written and spoken
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with different stakeholders on all levels across various departments and functions in Denmark and internationally.
  • Good understanding of GDPR, compliance and regulatory requirements
