The Procurement Specialist shall be based at our Nové Mesto nad Váhom Slovakia site with following responsibilities:
- Qualifying new suppliers and maintaining an up-to-date central supplier database (HICX).
- Drafting and negotiating supply contracts, liaising with suppliers to obtain competitive quotations, and evaluating them effectively.
- Managing the end-to-end process of requests and orders, resolving any supplier-related issues promptly while adhering to system requirements.
- Engaging in both strategic and operational procurement activities.
- Participating in supplier audits to ensure compliance and quality standards.
- Generating comprehensive reports and utilizing ERP systems for efficient procurement management (Thoughtspot, SAP...).
- Proactively communicating with various company departments to align procurement strategies.
- Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and internal organizational directives.
- Collaborating on local and global projects within the department, contributing to strategic initiatives.
- Implementing new tools and principles derived from global strategic sourcing strategies.
- Executing strategies for assigned commodities and suppliers to optimize procurement processes and outcomes.
To be successful in this dynamic and collaborative role you will need to have:
- Experience in similar or other technical role
- Ability to read technical drawings/documentation
- Fluent level of language skills in English and Slovak (knowledge of German would be advantageous)
- A keen eye for detail to drive effective procurement practices and support organizational objectives.
- Very strong communication skills
- Ability to think strategically
