We are working with a growing services organisation to recruit an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the development of their procurement team and processes, and identify improvements in costs and contractual terms.
They are looking for a background in services/indirect spend, ideally with previous experience of facilities and HR based categories.
This client has some aggressive growth plans, and this new role will facilitate this strategy. The role offers great opportunity for career development and progression, gained in the process of creating and developing a new procurement function and capitalising on savings through increased spend and leverage.
You will need to take a hands-on approach towards contracts and negotiation, whilst creating the longer-term vision and strategy for the department.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading procurement activities for the organisation, identifying and delivering cost savings, rationalising contracts, and ensuring best practice and process in procurement is followed by the organisation.
- Engaging with internal stakeholders and guiding them through the requirements of the procurement process.
- Managing the tendering & contract negotiation activities across a broad range of services and product.
- Implementing robust and structured procurement policy, process, and strategy.
- Supplier management, creating and onboarding new suppliers, on-going relationship management, supplier rationalisation projects, and performance management.
Requirements:
- Background in services/indirect procurement, ideally including facilities, HR, corporate spend, catering, IT/telco.
- Previously involved in developing procurement processes and procurement strategy.
- Experience of sourcing and selecting suppliers, leading tendering process, and negotiating and implementing procurement contracts.
- Contract consolidation, and onboarding suppliers for new acquisitions.
- Promoting professional procurement approach within an organisation.
- Identifying cost saving opportunities and developing strategy to deliver savings.
