In the role of Freight Forwarder, we offer a great opportunity to be part of a winning team and play a critical role in the success of our Maersk Contract Logistics (MCL) team. You will be responsible for networking with truckers and coordinating between them and our customers, planning inbound and outbound logistics to Warehouse and Distribution (WnD), and ensuring smooth operations. This position is newly established and requires an entrepreneurial mindset.

You will be based in Maersk's newly opened low-emission warehouse in Taulov, Fredericia.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be part of our Middle- and Last Mile Execution Tower in Fredericia, where we strive to deliver the best operational service for our customers.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Networking with Truckers: Building and maintaining strong relationships with trucking partners to ensure effective coordination and timely deliveries.
• Customer Coordination: Serving as the primary contact person for larger clients, managing road transport shipments, and handling day-to-day customer interactions.
• Operational Management: Overseeing all operational matters, including transportation booking, quoting, procurement, and invoicing.
• Logistics Planning: Planning and coordinating inbound and outbound logistics to Warehouse and Distribution (WnD), ensuring optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Continuous Improvement: Identifying challenges and collaborating with internal and external networks to improve cost and service levels.
• Customer Escalations: Managing customer escalations together with the Operations Manager.

Our preferred candidate has:

• Freight Forwarding Experience: Educated as a freight forwarder and some experience in the area of road transport.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Both verbal and written in English.
• Collaborative Mindset: With a "can-do" attitude.
• Customer Service Orientation: As you will have day-to-day contact with our customers.
• Flexibility: The ability to be flexible when needed, as our job is not a standard 8-16 schedule.
• Willingness to Travel: The ability to travel approximately 5-10 days a year.
