Procurement Commercial Manager
London/Leeds - Hybrid

We're thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity to join us as a Commercial Manager to join our IT & BPO team, reporting into our Senior Commercial Manager. You will deliver outstanding performance and value from supply partners, whilst controlling risk and maintaining appropriate control following a simple governance framework.
You will manage all commercial aspects of the contract, focusing on continuous improvement and new ideas, challenging unnecessary business demands, managing contract obligations, reclaiming service credits and rebates, tracking and measuring benefits secured from each supplier, and ensuring that the end customer receives excellent service through supplier outcomes.

What you'll be doing
- Working with suppliers to access latest innovations, challenge unnecessary business demands, manage contract obligations and measure in contract delivery
- Develop long term value adding supplier and relationship strategies that are aligned to business and category and supply chain strategies
- Leading commercial relationships with suppliers and resolving and mitigating solutions where supplier performance is under expected standards
- Contributing to commercial projects (eg. continuous improvement, innovation led projects, supply chain collaboration, etc.), bringing innovation from the supply base
- Delivering ongoing and increasing benefit to DLG through the engagement of suppliers and delivery of plans that create new customer propositions, cost reduction and service improvements
- Previous supplier relationship and project management experience.
- Experience managing multiple partners and negotiating complex arrangements.
- Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplined teams.
- Ability to coach and mentor less experienced team members.
