Looking for a strategic and results-driven Category Manager who will be responsible for managing a specific category of products or services, driving category growth, and ensuring profitability. This role requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and the ability to develop and execute effective category strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement category strategies that align with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure optimal pricing and terms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, marketing, sales, and supply chain to drive category performance.
  • Monitor category performance metrics, analyse data, and generate actionable insights to improve category sales and profitability.
  • Develop and execute promotional plans, product assortments, and pricing strategies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging products, and innovations within the category.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.

Requirements:
  • Ideally you will hold a degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in category management, procurement, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and relevant software/tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and achieve targets.
