GVA Search are proud to be partnering with this household FMCG brand to recruit for an innovative Procurement Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and improving the procurement process following a period of growth and change within the business. You will lead on managing supplier relationships and ensuring that the organisation acquires goods and services at the best possible cost and quality. You will work closely with various stakeholders throughout the business to understand their needs and develop strategies to meet those needs efficiently and cost-effectively.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing while meeting quality standards.
- Analyse market trends to anticipate changes in pricing and availability.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual terms and company standards.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage budgets for all procurement activities.
- Track and report on key performance metrics to ensure cost savings and efficiency.
- Implement cost control measures and monitor expenditures.
- Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure mutual understanding and alignment.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process.
Key experience required:
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong commercial acumen, problem-solving and big-picture thinking.
- MCIP's qualifications are desirable but not essential.
