IT Procurement Manager - UK leading Healthcare Firm

Location: Birmingham - 3 days per week

Competitive salary: £45,000-£55,000

This Global leading healthcare firm are seeking a Procurement Manager to join their dynamic team, to manage the IT category - their largest area of spend. Having experienced exponential year-on-year growth, this best-in-class procurement function are looking for an experienced procurement professional with public sector experience to hit the ground running and take control of the IT category, and a team of procurement specialists.

Within this role, you will be responsible for managing all areas of IT spend and will be responsible for leading ; key responsibilities of this role includes:

  • Drive Strategic Procurement: Lead end-to-end IT procurement processes, from needs assessment to contract negotiation, ensuring top-tier technology solutions and cost-efficiency.
  • Supplier Excellence: Build and maintain strong relationships with key IT suppliers, negotiating competitive contracts and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Optimize Costs: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, manage procurement budgets, and drive continuous process improvements.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all IT procurement activities comply with public sector regulations and industry standards, while mitigating risks effectively.

Key requirements:

  • Proven experience managing end to end IT spend processes: demonstrated expertise in overseeing the entire IT procurement lifecycle, and a track record of successfully managing large-scale IT procurement projects, ensuring cost-efficiency and high-quality service delivery.
  • Line management experience: proven ability to manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals and experience in building and leading high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
  • Must have public sector experience: in-depth knowledge of public sector procurement regulations, policies and procedures. Proven ability to navigate the complexities of public sector procurement processes, ensuring compliance and delivering value to stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset: the ability to develop and implement strategic procurement plans that drive value and innovation.

Based in the modernised Birmingham office, this firm understands and values flexibility and a strong work-life balance. They operate under a hybrid structure, meaning you can work from home 2 days per week. They offer a competitive salary of £45,000-£55,000.
