Job Description

The EMEA Real Estate & Facilities procurement team is responsible for several countries and partners with the Real Estate & Facilities, Global Physical Security, and Data Center Lines of Business to manage strategic procurement. The team also collaborates closely with Oracle's RE&F project managers on all construction and office fit-out related activities.

Understanding of Data Center Infrastructure: Comprehensive knowledge of key data center components such as servers, networking equipment, power supply systems, cooling systems, and rack infrastructure.

Report to the Manager, Facilities Procurement EMEA for Real Estate & Facilities and Global Physical Security Services.

Work to objectives/targets set by the Global Procurement Senior Director, Director Facilities Procurement, JAPAC and EMEA and Manager, Facilities Procurement EMEA.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including RFQs, RFPs, bid analysis and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with organizational policies, and legal requirements.
  • Use data-driven insights to make informed procurement decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service levels. Ensure all contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations as necessary.
  • Analyze costs and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality or service levels.
  • Monitor supplier performance against agreed-upon service levels and KPIs.
  • Address any performance issues with suppliers promptly to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular supplier reviews to ensure ongoing compliance with contract terms.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and cost savings.
  • Ensure procurement processes comply with company policies, ethical standards, and legal regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supplier risks and compliance risks.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for auditing purposes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any field) or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on Data Center infrastructure and Facilities services.
  • Knowledge of data center industry and experience managing a variety of project delivery methods - ability to lead a project in defining risk and developing the appropriate contracting.
  • Relevant Procurement Certifications would be an advantage.
  • Good command of the English language, both oral and written.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of procurement processes, market trends, and supplier management.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
