Mitie Technical Services (revenue £1,154m (FY 2023)) is one of the four major business divisions within Mitie, alongside Business Services, Communities and Central Government & Defence. Mitie Technical Services combines expertise across engineering maintenance, focussing on technical and process innovation; projects, offering a wide range of construction and refit work across all sectors; energy and carbon management offering Plan Zero options; and digital transformation, building the future workspace, reducing costs and improving utilisation.
National Grid is a key strategic account within Mitie Technical Services. The contract is IFM with abroad mix of hard and soft services across their Critical National Infrastructure sites, corporate offices and UK wide operational estate. The initial term is 5 years and services commenced in September 2023.
This role reports to the Head of Commercial and will work in close collaboration with account team colleagues and the wider commercial function within Technical Services
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
- To collaborate with and raise commercial awareness of the account team in respect of best practice.
- To manage challenges from the client on contract interpretation and pricing structure.
- Ensure contract obligations are adhered to.
- To oversee the contract's variation process including pricing / modelling of complex changes.
- Ensure the Financial Model is up to date at all times inclusive of any approved variations.
- Assess individual rates and prices, amend, create new or insert from material and/or sub-contract quotes.
- Provide support to the Account and Finance Teams in preparation of P&L, cash flow and overhead reviews and any monthly reporting requirements.
- Attend client meetings and/or internal account meetings as required.
- Forge good working relationships with both client and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure that all documentation is completed accurately and/or revised to ensure quality levels are maintained to the required standard.
- Recognise own training requirements and ongoing development.
- Ensure that Mitie policies are adhered to at all times; the post holder must ensure that any commercial activities undertaken are engaged and executed in compliance with Mitie's process and systems.
- Experience of working in a similar role.
- Main contractor and sector experience (FM maintenance) advantageous.
- Good analytical ability, high accuracy level and attention to detail.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and use own initiative.
- Professional approach to work, clients and colleagues.
- PC skills to an advanced level.
- Degree and/or professional qualifications desirable.
