What you will do
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Category Manager to join our EMEALA Procurement Team. In this role you will develop, plan, implement, analyze, and execute strategic procurement activities related to assigned Direct Materials, overseeing a purchasing portfolio of appr. $100M-120M annual spend. You will be joining a global organization providing highest quality and best cost to our factories and operation centers in the EMEALA region.

In this role you will develop, plan, implement, analyze, and execute strategic procurement activities related to assigned Direct Materials, overseeing a purchasing portfolio of appr. $100M-120M annual spend. You will be joining a global organization providing highest quality and best cost to our factories and operation centers in the EMEALA region.
How you will do it
- Provide strategic procurement programs that leverage operations with measurable financial results globally.
- Build and execute strategies to improve business process productivity, reduce costs and procurement related expenses while improving profitability as well as increasing trade working capital.
- Support regional procurement teams by enhancing strategy though leveraging expertise and knowledge of region
- Partner with business unit leaders globally to ensure alignment of global strategy and adoption of best practices
- Collaborate effectively with key partners (Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Quality, etc) to understand category requirements, ensure supplier qualification, and maintain high quality standards.
- Develop relationship with regional procurement managers to effectively leverage expertise across the organization.
- Drive productivity through price negotiations, value analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Negotiate favorable payment terms with suppliers to improve cash flow and optimize working capital.
- Stay informed of any changes or updates in laws, tariffs, commodity classifications, and regulations at the International, National, Province/State and Local levels.
- Manage the entire contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance and continuity of supply
- Oversee Supplier Relationships Management (SRM) activities and conduct regular supplier reviews to ensure performance meets program objectives (Quality, Cost, Delivery)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement roles in direct materials, working in international environment
- Strong analytical skills including ability to analyze and learn cost structure models in many different regions
- Proven negotiation skills
- Strong English-language communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Organized with attention to detail
- Drive to 'make things happen' and create opportunities
- Creative problem solver
- Experience gathering and analyzing data to drive category decision-making
- Experience in MS Office and ideally Procurement processes including eProcurement suites
