Job summary

The three Partner Trusts have set an objective of creating a singleprocurement function which will help support the sustainable provisionof clinical and non-clinical services.

A newly formed Humber & North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative, hosted by Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, will provide procurement and supply chain services to its Partner Trusts, and may extend over time to service other bodies within the Integrated Care System.

Working as a Supply Chain Assistant based at York District Hospital you will contribute to the cleanliness, security and safety of equipment and stock throughout the Trust.

Main duties of the job

You will work within clearly defined proceduresusing your own initiative on routine matters and refer to the Supply ChainOperative when necessary.

Responsible for stocking clinical andnon-clinical areas with products delivered, maintaining stock rotation tominimise wastage,

Taking delivery of product delivered to site, receipting allgoods delivered onto the e-Procurement system,and scanning to reorder stock against agreed stock levels.

You will work to ensure an efficient and effective customer focusedservice is provided for all staff across the site ensuring they can deliverexcellent patient care
