I am currently working with a market leading manufacturing company that is searching for Lead Buyer in Electronics to join their function based in Berlin.
As the Lead Buyer for Electronic Components, you will play a critical role in sourcing high-quality components that meet my clients production needs. You will lead negotiations, manage supplier relationships, and ensure that their purchasing strategy aligns with their overall business goals. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the company in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for electronic components, such as PCBA's, transistors, LED's, to optimise cost, quality, and delivery.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
- Analyse market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to understand component requirements and specifications.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to avoid production disruptions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities and market conditions to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on electronic components.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
