Procurement Manager- Leading Food & Beverages firm- £50-70K-London

This rapidly expanding Food & Beverages firm seeks a high-achieving procurement professional to join their team and manage the food procurement function. This could be a fantastic career move for a procurement professional, experienced in the food or FMCG industry, who is keen on being part of one of the largest suppliers in their market, who has a growing presence on a global scale.

In this position, you will be responsible for expanding a procurement team which will double in size by the end of the year. The position is based in London and offers a salary of £50-70K, amongst many other benefits. As this firm is fast growing, now is an extremely exciting time to join, with huge opportunities for career progression in the next 12-18 months.

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for:

  • Implementing strategies in direct food procurement, based on understanding business needs, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver cost reduction and optimize business functions
  • Contributing to the formation of a new procurement team within the firm, with a willingness to engage with, manage and develop the skills of more junior procurement professionals
  • Successfully connecting with internal and external stakeholders, including global food suppliers, to embed the best practices and create the most effective, long-lasting relationships
  • Transform the supply process through negotiating and developing strong supplier relationships

Procurement Manager - Required Background

  • Impressive Procurement, Strategic Sourcing and Negotiation track record, with a CV clearly demonstrating personal achievements and experience in food categories
  • A strong understanding of the commodity market, with a willingness to learn and keep up to date with market trends
  • At least 3-5 years' experience within food or FMCG-related industries
  • A degree education and CIPS (or equivalent qualifications), is desirable but not essential
