Widely-regarded for their world-class commercial team and innovative product range, blue-chip Manufacturing retailer seeks an ambitious IT procurement professional to enter a growth position in their award-winning procurement function.

Entering a newly-restructured role, the successful individual will be given the autonomy to work alongside the Head of Category to create strategic category plans, partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to understand the firm's commercial objectives, before applying procurement principles to achieve maximum results. Joining during a period of unprecedented transformation, this position has a clear path towards management as the organisation seek to hire individuals that will thrive in their supportive sourcing team.

Senior Category Specialist Responsibilities:

• Work with different areas of the business to develop strategic category plans across IT/ Tech procurement, with emphasis on hardware, software & cloud
• Strategically source new suppliers, managing the full end-to-end tender process to maximise savings and create value within the function
• Liaising with global stakeholders to effectively sell the value of procurement and increase the value of mandated spend
• Creating and implementing innovative ideas for the long and short-term development of the function

IT Procurement Manager Requirements:

• Involvement in managing spends/projects within any indirect procurement category, although experience within IT is desirable
• Demonstrated progression within a blue chip environment
• Degree qualified achieving a 2.1 or equivalent
