The role
The successful applicant will identify and delivery procurement processes (OJEU tenders, local quotations etc) for a designated commodity of spent.
The successful applicant with review spend profiles to suggest and win agreement to commodity strategies within their allocated area.
What will you be doing?
- Running >OJEU tender processes
- Using Frameworks, including Higher Education-specific (e.g. SUPC), public sector-specific (e.g. CCS) and commercial frameworks
- Reviewing spend using an analytical package (Spend360) and a University finance and HR system (Unit 4 Agresso).
- Working as a team with other Procurement Managers and Assistant Procurement Managers in the allotted areas.
The commodity area allocated will reflect the candidate’s previous experience as well as that of the current team. At the present time, we are more looking for candidates with experience in the supply of complex scientific equipment and/or Campus and Facilities services.
You should apply if
You have previous experience in procurement.
You have qualifications or applied learning in procurement, particularly via the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.
