Procurement Category Manager - Global Food and Beverages Firm - Glasgow - £60-65K + Package

This award-winning Food and Beverages firm who continue to lead the industry year on year are looking for an ambitious procurement professional to join the team and drive the role Category Manager across Raw Materials. With ongoing success in the industry, they require an experienced professional who can implement innovative procurement approaches across the category. This opportunity is a permanent position that offers a salary between £60-65K alongside a fantastic package. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for:

  • Work closely with stakeholders, including the Operations centres and Supply Chain teams across region, to identify opportunities to make cost savings whilst maintaining the high quality of products
  • Applying business change strategies in order to transform current operations, using new strategies and procurement operating models
  • Managing the end-to-end strategic sourcing process extracting value across a range of products in this category
  • Lead various project teams, ensuring that they are meeting targets and exceeding client expectations

Required Background for the Procurement Manager:

  • A strong track record of raw materials buying or category management in the FMCG/F&B
  • Demonstratable experience where you have successfully implemented change through developing and applying strategies
  • Evidence of successful SRM through the ability to build relationships with new and existing suppliers, as well as senior stakeholders
  • MCIPS and educated to degree level is desirable but not essential
  • Mobility and a willingness to travel 25% of the time (post Covid restrictions)
