E-Sourcing expertise is highly valued at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. It smoothly underpins the operations of our 280+ sites around the world. In addition, after the recent merger between the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Department for International Development, the transparency it delivers is vital. E-Sourcing unlocks all the other cost savings, compliance and time-saving benefits.

Leading a small team of E-Sourcing Advisors, you will assess procurement requirements, recommend approaches, run Tenders, prepare contracts and follow the process through to completion. The goods and services will vary in budget, scope and scale – across Estates, Security & Facilities Management, Corporate Services, Information Communications and Technology (ICT) categories and more. So there will be many opportunities to work with colleagues from different functions. In return, they will look to you for guidance on regulations and ensuring we get value for money.

Our E-Sourcing operations are underpinned by the Jaggaer system, our e-procurement portal and the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU). But we will also expect you to stay up-to-date with market trends and look for ways to improve our processes.

Whether you are already MCIPS Level 6 qualified or working towards it, it is essential that you have understanding of the government tender process and know all the rules, regulations and legislation. You will bring the kind of commercial experience that adds value throughout the procurement cycle and ensures the Department gets the right people involved every time.

Closing date: 8 February 2021.
