Indirects Procurement Manager - Flagship Facilities Project - Midlands - £35-42K

This world leading services firm urgently seek an experienced procurement professional to come on board and lead this large-scale mobilisation project. You will be responsible for sourcing multiple indirect services, including both hard and soft FM, and overseeing the end-to-end strategic procurement processes involved.

This is a 12-month FTC with huge prospects to progress onto more roles afterwards and be promoted within the company. Offering flexible working, the project is based near Northampton, where you will be required 2 days a week, with the rest of the week being home based. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain unique experience in procuring multiple services on a huge project, representing a global name.

The Procurement Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Identifying, negotiating, contracting and implementing suppliers for project, including organising and facilitating a supplier open day
  • Leading compliant sourcing, negotiating activities with key suppliers, and ensuring supply chain solutions meet the business requirements and to deliver cost savings
  • Work cross-functionally with external bodies to identify project requirements, and quickly evolve to the changing needs of the programme
  • Supporting procurement initiatives and building positive working relationships with senior stakeholders, developing appropriate engagement processes to successfully influence procurement investment, budget and planning cycles

Required Background for the Procurement Project Manager:

  • A strong track record of procurement or contract management experience, with a competence and a proven ability to manage supplier relationships, influence stakeholders and manage commercial contracts
  • Experience can be across any sector and category, however specific exposure to facilities, indirect services and Capex procurement would be desirable
  • A strong education record, with CIPS being desirable but not essential
  • Evidence of successful SRM through the ability to build relationships with new and existing suppliers, as well as senior stakeholders
