EMEA Energy Trading & Risk Product Management Director

Leading global energy trading data software firm seeks an EMEA Energy Trading & Risk Product Management Director based from anywhere in Europe, but willing to travel to their London EMEA HQ on a regular basis after lockdown restrictions cease.

As information / data becomes ever more important for traders and analysts in order to make quick and accurate decisions, my client is well placed to provide deeply integrated market data that seamlessly joins analytics and interpretation for optimized, efficient decision making. Your role will be working in a cross-functional team charged with developing what will become some of the highest value assets in the business.

The role
Supporting the Global Head of Product Management in the development of a clear Energy Trading & Risk solution, you'll prioritize roadmap items that will drive higher year-on-year net revenue growth for key markets.

  • Define the products and roadmap which compels significant value to the marketplace
  • Work with engineering product owners and technical leads to ensure that all resources are allocated towards the activities that will drive the highest growth
  • Build and maintain an in-depth understanding of product usage and NPS by market segment
  • Track competitors and define product differentiators by market segment
  • Work with marketing and sales to create yearly GTM plans with supporting campaigns
  • Serve as the energy and commodity trading industry expert aimed at solving trading and risk management problems
  • Have and apply experience working with trading and risk solutions, enterprise data management platforms, predictive analytics software and SaaS based cloud solutions

Key skills and experience needed

  • Significant commercial experience gained working in product management leadership role(s), preferably in delivering customer facing SaaS products and services
  • Significant commercial experience in the energy / commodity trading marketplace with an understanding of the dynamics related to physical and financial trading
  • Deep understanding of Curve Building, Curve Monitoring and Data Management for the Energy and Commodity Space
  • Experience working with data aggregation platforms
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • GTM planning and release planning experience
  • Living in Europe with a British or EU passport or holding a visa allowing you to live and work in Europe without any restrictions or obligations from my client
  • Bachelors degree from a leading university

Salary: Flexible but circa £80-120k basic + bonus + benefits
