This leading global industrial automation organization is establishing a new global shared services procurement organization in Katowicea and is looking to hire experienced Logistics Procurement Specialists to join their new team.
As a global logistics buyer, you will take responsibility for a large critical spend portfolio covering the businesses' Road, Air, and Sea transport networks, final-mile distribution and will play a role in developing the future transport management system (TMS). As this is a newly established team you will be responsible for developing the category management and sourcing strategy from scratch and will require someone who is highly entrepreneurial with a self-starter mindset to be able to deliver results with little guidance from senior leadership.
This is an opportunity to put your own mark on a growing international procurement organization and take full ownership over your spend categories.
As the Global Logistics Buyer you will be responsible for:-
- Building the maturity of the global procurement team by implementing effective global sourcing strategies for your designated spend categories
- Utilizing the firms spend analytics tools to consolidate suppliers and negotiate more efficient global deals
- Support the implementation and roll-out of new TMS to further develop procurement's infrastructure
- Providing subject matter expertise of logistics procurement to cross-functional global teams
To be successful in this Global Logistics Buyer position you must be comfortable in dealing with ambiguity in a newly created role and department and be confident working in an environment with little process or guidance. You will have a high degree of autonomy to develop your own strategies and processes that will deliver optimal results to the organization.
