Overview:

How would you like the opportunity to work for one of the largest Utility service providers within the UK who provide their services to over 3.6 million customers each and every day? This leading customer focused organisation are looking to bring in a talented and passionate Category Manager to own responsibility for spend across their Estates and Facilities categories. You will be working with an exceptional group of stakeholders who, like the organisation, have the same values and principles embedded within their DNA. This role will see you report into the Head of Procurement. 

What the role involves:

Responsible for the development, validation and sustainable implementation of the category strategies to deliver target benefits and financial savings.

Identification, assessment and management of potential risks associated with differing sourcing strategies, providing insight through the analysis of spend, supply markets and savings.

Responsible for communication of sourcing plans and alignment between Procurement and its internal stakeholders and external suppliers and partners.

Ownership of the financial performance of the Estates & Facilities category and the sub-categories that fall into this area; including agreement and verification of savings forecast, budgeting and delivery.

Ensure procurement support is provided to other improvement projects across the business.

The person we hope to find:

Achieved or working towards MCIPS, or a relevant degree and commercial experience

Strong end to end procurement sourcing and category management experience across indirect or FM spend

Excellent communication skills and able to work with all levels of management and stakeholders

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Well organised, process and team-oriented with the ability to prioritise quickly

Highly motivated self-starter: ability to initiate and manage work with minimal supervision

Commercially aware and financially astute

Excellent presentation skills

Salary and Benefits:

£46k-£51k per annum + up to 30 days holiday + Bank Holidays + double matched pension + other great benefits
