Bramwith consulting are currently working alongside this well-known public sector engineering organisation critical to the nations transport infrastructure to find a competent Interim Senior Buyer to join a dynamic and busy procurement team on a 6-month contract.

This role will involve dealing with the full end to end transactional procurement process across multiple categories but focusing on renewal and upgrade works, construction related spends and infrastructure. The role will broadly involve:

• Being accountable for the management and analysis of supplier performance through timely reporting of inventory levels, scrappage and costs
• Playing an integral part in the full tender/RFx process, from document preparation to negotiations and post-contract management
• Utilising data as a way of monitoring suppliers, and also identifying areas of risk
• Working with a wide range of stakeholders including senior level management and subcontractors to effectively communicate business priorities

We're looking for a competent and experienced buyer who can slot seamlessly into an operational procurement function. Specific to this role the following skills/experience are required:

• Experience of public sector procurement (including OJEU) is essential, ideally within a construction/infrastructure/engineering/transport setting
• Exposure to the full end to end transactional procurement process, including dealing with contractual terms and negotiations with suppliers
• Previous Interim experience is highly desirable
• CIPS and other relevant accreditation is also desirable
• Full unrestricted right to work in the UK, including eligibility to undergo BPSS if not already held

Please note this role does full within scope of IR35 regulations.

Candidates will also be required to use an umbrella company for this position, although limited companies may also be accepted.
