Interim Procurement Specialist
Public Sector Infrastructure - Central London
6 Month Contract - £450 per day

Bramwith consulting are currently working alongside this well-known public sector engineering organisation critical to the nations transport infrastructure to find a competent Interim Procurement Specialist to join a dynamic and busy procurement team on a 6-month contract.
This role will involve getting to grips with long-term complex programmes across multiple category areas but with a particular emphasis on those relating to the IT category. Responsible for setting long-term strategy and working with senior level management, this role requires a proven influencer who is comfortable with all aspects of procurement and supplier management.
- Being accountable for the management and analysis of supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement, risk and cost reduction
- Playing an integral part in the full tender/RFx process, from document preparation to negotiations and post-contract management
- Working with a wide range of stakeholders including senior level management and subcontractors to effectively communicate business priorities, and influence long-term procurement strategy
- Utilise data to drive positive change
We're looking for a competent and experienced procurement professional who can slot seamlessly into an operational procurement function. Specific to this role the following skills/experience are required:
- Experience of public sector procurement (including OJEU) is essential, ideally within a transport, rail or infrastructure setting
- Exposure to the full end to end transactional procurement process, including dealing with contractual terms and negotiations with suppliers
- IT category experience highly desirable
- CIPS and another relevant accreditation is also desirable
- Full unrestricted right to work in the UK, including eligibility to undergo BPSS if not already held
Please note this role does fall within scope of IR35 regulations.
Candidates will also be required to use an umbrella company for this position, although limited companies may also be accepted.
