A global engineering firm is seeking a highly analytical and financially minded individual to join its global procurement organization to support the Global Director of Commodities Procurement in delivering exceptional cost analysis and cost modelling across al core production and manufacturing materials.
You will be a highly valuable asset to the procurement organization by working closely with suppliers to run cost audits on their production and materials to ensure that business is equipped with the best information and cost models when it comes to negotiating new deals.
As the Global Procurement Materials Cost Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
- Auditing and evaluating suppliers to produce insightful cost models for the various product lines of the company
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across procurement and commodity teams to ensure transparency of information and alignment of strategy
- Work closely with technology teams to support the development of Analytical tools and processes to allow for continuous improvement in cost analytics
- Provide detailed reports to senior leadership team with clear and accurate data
The Global Procurement Materials Cost Analyst will require the following skills in ordered to succeed in this position:
- A technical educational background; preferably in an engineering discipline with high financial acumen
- Fluent in English; Additional EU language also highly desirable
- Proven experience working in a procurement, sourcing, supply chain or engineering role that provides you with the relevant knowledge of production materials and related costs
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver information at a global level
