Procurement Manager 6-month initial FTC | London/Home Working | UK leading brand
£55-65,000 (pro rata salary) + other great benefits
An expanding brand who has been a real success story in their industry market are looking to expand their Procurement function as part of an exciting transformation and as a result are looking for a new Procurement Manager to come in for an initial 6 months to deliver some exciting projects within the IT and Digital space.
They are looking for a strong generalist Procurement Manager who has had exposure to areas such as software, telecoms and professional services and this role reports straight into the Head of Procurement in what is a greenfield site with so much opportunity for Procurement. While this is an initial 6-month contract there is some real potential for this role to become permanent depending on how they perform and budgets etc for 2021. The company are based in London but due to Covid the function has made the decision to work from home/ remotely at present so this role will be home based! Obviously should the role extend or go permanent there would be an expectation for a balance between home working and travel into the London mand/or Birmingham offices in the latter parts of 2021 for some of the time.
What the role involves
Managing a multi-million-pound portfolio of spend across Technology and Digital
Contract values will range from £100k up to multi-million-pound contracts with key suppliers for the business
Shaping and executing a range of sourcing strategies across Digital and Technology and collaborating with key internal stakeholders in the business
Have the chance to interact with the wider Procurement exec team in making critical commercial decisions as part of the short, medium- and long-term strategy of the business and be empowered to make these decisions.
Report to the Head of Procurement to drive change and grow the Procurements spend remit across the business.
The person we hope to find
IT category management experience is essential for this role
Ideally managed multiple IT Software contracts for your previous organisation
Proven experience of managing IT stakeholders and being able to make key strategic decisions on the supplier base you are engaged with
Degree educated or equivalent would be preferable but not essential
Be able to identify and implement negotiation strategies through a multi-function team
