Senior Commercial Manager - flexible location - up to £90k plus bens
Langley Search & Interim has been retained by a Global Services Company to find them a Senior Commercial Manager. Reporting to the Commercial Director you will be responsible for the following:
- Leading/supporting negotiations with customers in the Public Sector in Infrastructure, Government and Health Sectors. (This uses the same skills as procurement)
- Influencing and up skilling key stakeholders up to ‘C’ Level on how to approach negotiations and bid processes including running training programmes and producing thought leadership to shape their approaches
- Identifying opportunities to improve commercial frameworks on current contracts and proposals
You should have the following:
- Ideally deep commercial/ procurement experience in the Government/Public Sector/Infrastructure or Health Sectors
- Some understanding of the public sector procurement rules/frameworks
- Experience of working in procurement in senior roles in the Professional Services or Services Category areas in the public sector may be advantageous
- Strong interpersonal/influencing & communication skills at ‘C’ level both internally and externally.
- A commercial, entrepreneurial orientation – a team player who is not interested in the glory. Able to land and deliver - a flexible style and approach. Able to cope with ambiguity and balance conflicting priorities balancing workload to get the optimum outcomes.
- Be a proven strong negotiator. Have worked successfully on complex projects with multi-million pound value and criticality
- Experience of shaping operating models to create a sustainable legacy
- Of degree calibre, MBA and/or CIPS is desirable
This role may be home based, or there are multiple options on working from one of their many offices. Considerable flexibility around working pattern and location is offered.
