Caring for Defence Estate and those that depend on it, enabling Defence to live, work, train and deploy We are looking for experienced procurement professionals with a background in Procurement and Contracts Management.

You will support the strategic relationship with suppliers and senior internal stakeholders while building collaboration within and across organisational boundaries. You will develop and manage key sourcing activities to meet project goals while minimising risk and ensuring Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is considered. You will be the trusted advisor in sourcing and commercial initiatives to both, stakeholders and your team members, ensuring compliance to the appropriate processes and operating procedures.

C1 Disposals - (1 post)

The role in the Disposals Team will lead on the procurement of Land Sales Delivery Partners (LSDP) to Project Manage the disposal of our larger surplus sites under the MoD Estate Optimisation Programme.

Sales receipts for the next few sites to be Tendered are forecast to be over £100M. (Annex A provides a brief overview of the LSDP role)

You will develop sourcing strategies in partnership with project and customer stakeholders in line with current legislation and Government/MOD policy and procedures. You will lead on the development of Competitive Tender packs and the Tendering process through to contract award. Tender process will be run in accordance with the relevant regulations (EU Procurement Regulations, Public Contracts Regulations, Defence & Security Public Contracts Regulations, Single Source Contract Regulations - Subject to any amendment).

You may also be asked to lead on other less complex competitive procurements to support the Estates Disposals team. These procurements will be via an advertised opportunity or existing MoD/Wider Government Framework.

Most of your DIO internal customers are based in Andover and Catterick.

C1 FDIS - (1 post)

For the role within the Future Defence Infrastructure Services (FDIS) Commercial team you will be working on large procurements for Hard and Soft Facilities Management (FM). You will be at the forefront of realising the procurement strategies, ensuring best practice and lessons learned from previous procurements are captured and opportunities for improvement shared with the broader team.

Specifically, in the Hard FM procurement you will be working alongside successful bidders from across the UK to support the mobilisation of the new contracts and the transition of the existing commercial arrangements to the new structure. The Soft FM project is in the sourcing stage and involvement will include developing the procurement strategy in partnership with project and customer stakeholders and competitively tendering the requirement in line with current legislation and Government/MOD policy and procedures.
