Caring for Defence Estate and those that depend on it, enabling Defence to live, work, train and deploy

We are looking for experienced procurement professionals with a background in projects and construction.

As the team grows, now is a great opportunity to get involved with innovative projects from the outset.

You will work with a diverse, committed and energetic team of colleagues who all bring different skills and experience to the team, creating an environment of continual learning. You are likely to work with military colleagues, civil servants and consultants - of all grades and ranks.

You will support the strategic relationship with suppliers and senior internal stakeholders while building collaboration within and across organisational boundaries. You will develop and manage key sourcing activities to meet project goals while minimising risk and ensuring Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is considered. You will be the trusted advisor in sourcing and commercial initiatives to both, stakeholders and your team members, ensuring compliance to the appropriate processes and operating procedures.

• United States Visiting Forces -USVF
• Defence Estate Optimisation Programme -DEOP

Major Programmes and Projects (1 Post)

Your primary function will be the creation and delivery of procurement strategies for projects within an existing programme pipeline. That will provide a resilient and efficient infrastructure support across the MOD’s estate.

United States Visiting Forces (4 posts)

You will be an integral member of the United States Visiting Forces (USVF) team, which is dedicated to delivering a significant capital works Programme (£3bn) and hard FM delivery (£250M p/a) across the UK in support of the USVF. Our purpose is the development and continued improvement of the programmes in work today and in the future pipeline to the benefit of the service personnel and their families that live work and train on the MOD estate. This team of hard working, passionate and talented professionals provide a quality, responsive and relevant procurement service to the client, engage a broad network of supply chain partners and deliver positive outcomes through effective relationships and collaborative behaviours. These behaviours will underpin successful delivery as you represent DIO in its relationship with the United States Forces.

Defence Estate Optimisation Programme (1 Post)

An opportunity to join a team creating an innovative leading each approach to DIO infrastructure procurement. Your primary function will be to lead on key parts of the sourcing and procurement strategy for a £multibillion portfolio of collaborative based incentivised contracts across the UK. You will also lead on the procurement aspects of a range professional services and construction projects as part of the DEO portfolio, including supplier and contract management activities.

Location
Our DIO Commercial Teams are based across the UK including Andover, Catterick, Glasgow, Sutton Coldfield, Whittington and Wyton. We offer a flexible base location for this role and will therefore make one of these locations your duty station where possible. Work location will be agreed once the successful candidate has been selected.
