We’re seeking a Head of Strategic Procurement to provide strategic procurement and commercial support for Clarion’s new build or S106 transactions.

As a key member of the Design, Technical and Innovation team, you’ll work alongside the wider Development and Asset Management businesses as well as the Central Procurement Team to help ensure Clarion’s design and asset management requirements are defined and enshrined within key procurement agreements to support new-build, Joint Venture and S106 procurement routes.

Some of the key accountabilities will include:-

  • Alignment with the Group Procurement Strategy to increase the value for Clarion in the procurement of materials and services related to our build and regeneration programmes.
  •
  • Development and Delivery of an Energy, Infrastructure and Technology procurement strategy including network operator, manufacturers and suppliers.

  • Development and Implementation of a strategic procurement strategy to align with the Customer Experience and Asset Management functions. Assist Project Budget preparation and align both Planned Investment strategies and Development procurement strategies.

  • Creating and maintaining long-term partnerships with manufacturers and suppliers to foster two-way feedback and monitor supplier performance. Establish framework arrangements for key component procurement.

We’re looking for procurement professionals with significant and demonstrable experience working with developers and/or main contractors in a senior procurement role. You’ll come to us with experience in developing and directing procurement strategies with strong construction product, component and supplier knowledge. Strong stakeholder management skills, commercial awareness and negotiating skills are also essential for the role.

In return, we offer a highly competitive salary, group bonus scheme and other benefits, including a defined contribution pension matched up to 7.5%.
