The Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal Programme has been established to tackle the significant work that needs to be done to protect and preserve the heritage of the Palace of Westminster and ensure it can continue to serve as home to the UK Parliament in the 21st century. This is an enormous and unprecedented undertaking, which is expected to be the most complex renovation programme of any single building the UK has ever seen.

The work will be carried out under a two-tier governance system with a Sponsor Body and a Delivery Authority. Under this structure, the Sponsor Body will be the single client accountable to Parliament. The role of the Delivery Authority is to deliver the Programme to the scope, budget and timescale set down by and agreed with the Sponsor Board.

The Supply Chain Manager will develop and implement a strategy to engage the market generally to raise awareness of the R&R Programme and will then implement it throughout the Programme. They will be Commercial’s lead contact for DA Sustainability and other similar business areas and will be their conduit to the supply chain. They will collate, analyse and report on supply chain data including regional and SME spend.

To be successful in the role you will be a fully qualified member of MCIPS or MRICS (or equivalent degree) with evidence of substantial post-qualification experience as a fully established supply chain expert

Be able to demonstrate substantial experience of market engagement and supply chain management activities including major works and related professional services on a national level in a large-scale programme or multi-billion pound complex organisation.

Possess advanced supply chain knowledge and experience of services/works contracts for the delivery of major refurbishment and heritage projects to support agile delivery, at all tiers of the supply chain.

Have the ability to work well under pressure, to prioritise multiple activities to meet deadlines and possesses strong stakeholder engagement and management skills.
