Procurement Manager - Project Delivery

Multiple Locations: Surrey, Hampshire, and Worcester (With flexible working)


Bramwith consulting are currently partnered with a major FTSE 250 defence and aerospace firm who are market-leaders in the research and development of state of the art technology. They are looking to expand their supply chain and procurement function by bringing on board a Procurement Manager to oversee the management of critical suppliers for ongoing projects and programmes.

Working alongside specialised project delivery teams, the successful individual will act as an expert point of contact for the management of suppliers and subcontractors, contributing to some of the organisations most high-profile client projects. The projects themselves cover a wide variety of aerospace, defence, and technology related outputs.

Alongside the opportunity to work on state of the art projects, the company offer a collaborative environment in which to develop, both practically and professionally as this role offers full CIPS sponsorship.

The key responsibilities for this Procurement Manager position are:

  • Responsible for the effective and timely delivery of several key sourcing and supply chain projects, managing and communicating effectively with the portfolio of suppliers to identify risk, achieve the best value and ensure consistent levels of performance.
  • Manage a wide array of subcontractors delivering programme crucial services, identifying areas for improvement and areas of risk within the supply chain.
  • Working alongside senior level stakeholders from within the business, as well as external stakeholders from partners and regulators to ensure effective communication performance.
  • Take a lead in complex negotiations, developing existing supplier relationships.

The key skills and experience required for this role are:

  • Strong procurement and sourcing background, ideally from within a defence/aerospace setting but candidates coming from other highly-regulated sectors welcome
  • Experience of subcontract management, strategic sourcing, and supplier management
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communications skills
  • Strong educational track-record, degree, and CIPs qualifications highly desirable
  • Full right to work in the UK, including permanent residency in the UK for the last 5 years (due to nature of projects, security clearance may need to be undertaken)

Salary: £50,000 + £53,000 + CIPS Sponsorship + Bonus
