Senior Procurement Manager- IT Services | 12 months FTC |

Financial Services | Surrey/ Home Base

£70-80,000 + bonus, matched pension scheme + private medical and 25 days holiday

A rare opportunity has come up for a well-known Financial Services business in Surrey who, as part of an exciting Procurement Transformation, are looking for a new Senior Procurement Manager to come in and support the business on an initial 12-month fixed term contract.

This role will be leading projects across all IT services and supporting with the digital transformation. A huge draw to the role other than the variety and brand is the flexible working as well as being the ‘right-hand person’ for the Head of Procurement in engaging and influencing the C-Suite and transformation team. The organisation is a year into the transformation and have gone from a team of 30 to 300 in that time which gives you some size and scale of the investment. The role will be spearheading the transformation delivery and helping with some of the BAU IT Procurement activities for the organisation.  While they can only commit for an initial 12 months the transformation is likely to go on until the end of 2023 so there is lots of potential for this to be extended beyond this.

What the role involves

Overseeing all new IT and Digital Transformation activity as well as supporting the IT Category Manager with BAU activities across, Software, Telecoms and Digital

Responsible for reviewing a range of supplier spend areas and looking at ways to optimise these areas and make them more efficient and commercially viable.

Shaping and executing the transformation project to ensure it is on track and if work creeps ‘out of scope’ that you can pull it back in line in an effective way.

Work closely with C Suite level stakeholders and internal stakeholders to ensure the delivery of IT category plans

Deliver high profile strategic projects from cradle to grave

The person we hope to find

A broad range of IT/ Digital  category management experience is essential

Previous experience of Procurement/ IT transformation is key.

Ability to interact and influence senior board level stakeholders.

Ideally managed multiple contracts

Ability to work under pressure and be a self-starter is critical

Be able to identify and implement negotiation strategies through a multi-function team
