Procurement and Commercial Manager

c.£53,000 - £62,000 + benefits 


Castlefield Recruitment are currently working exclusively with a large Not-for-Profit organisation with national coverage to recruit a Procurement and Commercial Manager. This post will require presence at their Head Office in Newcastle up to two times per week after September (Post Covid restrictions). This is a newly created role, with responsibility to provide commercial expertise on the delivery of an organisation critical Staff Record System.

This post would suit someone with extensive Procurement and Commercial experience, an ability to manage staff and a track record of delivering large scale and complex procurements of software and services.   


·         Lead and ensure appropriate contracts are put in place to meet customer and client requirements

·         Support with the delivery of effective sourcing strategies

·         Implement and develop structured procurement processes

·         Lead and manage high profile and complex negotiations for major sourcing activities

·         Make complex decisions through detailed analysis, recommend solutions on detailed contracts and strategic sourcing

·         Work closely with customers and clients to develop their requirements into specifications

·         Develop and manage budgets

·         Implement and ensure effective commercial contract governance

·         Create a capable and efficient Commercial Services Team sharing knowledge and providing leadership


·         Knowledge and expertise to manage complex relationships

·         MCIPS or significant demonstrable experience

·         Expertise in delivering Public and Private sector contracts

·         Extensive experience running procurement processes, producing business cases and challenging difficult stakeholders
