Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a market-leading Technology business, based in Leeds, who are looking to identify a Strategic Procurement Lead. 

As the Strategic Procurement Lead you will manage supplier relationships and lead on cloud commercial governance working closely with IT functions to manage the cost of infrastructure cloud platforms. The post will be predominantly remote based, with only very occasional travel required to the Head Office in Leeds.

The position would be well suited to an ambitious senior procurement professional who holds significant experience of working within the IT/Technology category area and experience of sourcing cloud technology and utilising vendor scoring matrices.

Duties will include:

• Develop and document the Cloud Commercial Governance framework in collaboration with stakeholders
• Lead on the negotiation, construction and management of highly complex and high value commercial deals on behalf of the business
• Responsible for planning and executing outsourcing and vendor integration products, specifically for cloud services and cloud hosting platforms

Person:

• Senior procurement professional who holds significant experience within the IT/Technology category area
• Knowledge of how to utilise cloud infrastructure efficiently and effectively
• Category expertise on cloud technologies, ideally Microsoft Azure
• Experience of developing and delivering agreed Procurement Category strategies
• Experience of collating and publishing RFx and managing the supplier process
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
